Bastion BF

Horse Name

Sire & Dam Notes: Bairactar, the founder of the oldest surviving sire line of Polish Arabians through his descendant, Amurath 1881, was a grey desert-bred stallion imported to Europe in the early 1800's by King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, and was foundational in Central European Arabian breeding. This line was carried forward through important stallions including Amurath Sahib, whose descendants played a major role in Polish and international Arabian pedigrees. From this historic lineage came Safari CAHR, one of the last modern representatives of the Bairactar sire line through Gwarny, a son of Amurath Sahib. As the sire of Bastion BF, Safari CAHR connects the young stallion directly to this historic paternal lineage, preserving a genetic line through both sire and dam that that traces back more than two centuries and the early desert imports that helped shape the Polish Arabian horse.

Dam Notes: The maternal lineage of Bastion BF traces through the historic Polish Arabian mare family of Ukrainka, foal in about 1815 and one of the recognized dam lines preserved within the Polish State Stud breeding program. Over generations this family was carried forward through influential broodmares, including Forta, whose branch helped sustain and strengthen the Ukrainka line in modern Polish breeding. From this same tail-female lineage comes Evangelion AD, the dam of Bastion BF, linking the colt directly to a maternal family that has been maintained in Poland for over two centuries.

Evangelion AD's sire, Emanor, was 2002 Canadian National Champion Park, 2000 Canadian National Reserve Champion English Pleasure, 2000 US National Top Ten English Pleasure,2000 Scottsdale Champion English Pleasure, 1999 US National Champion Stallion,1999 Canadian National Reserve Champion Stallion,1999 Scottsdale Champion Stallion of 1992 & 1993, 1998 Polish National Champion Stallion -- and, he also raced successfully in Poland before being imported to the U.S.

Algorec SFF

Horse Name

Sire & Dam Notes: Both Gorec*, Algorec's sire, and Druid, his grandsire, were recognized as a Polish Racehorse of the Year and both were winners of the Polish Triple Crown. Algorec's paternal brother, Wierzbin, was a runner up in the Polish Derby by a head, and was a co-holder of the 3,000 meter record. Algorec is descended from Bairactar through the Amurath Sahib son, Arax. Arax and Gwarny were three-quarter (3/4) brothers, both sired by Amurath Sahib and out of two different Wielki Szlem (Ofir) daughters.

Dam Notes: Algorec's dam, Alkina, traces to the foundation desert mare Scherife DB, whose tail-female line represents one of the enduring threads of desert heritage carried into modern Polish Arabian breeding. This female family eventually produced the distinguished mare, Algonkina, who established her own remarkable racing dynasty. At the Polish State Studs, Algonkina and her female descendants produced numerous successful racehorses, and the family became closely associated with the strength and durability valued in Polish racing Arabians. In Arabian breeding, such tail-female lines hold special significance because mitochondrial DNA is passed directly from mare to foal through the maternal line, linking modern horses to the deep foundations of the breed. Through Scherife DB and the influential branch founded by Algonkina, this maternal lineage continues to contribute an enduring legacy.
Kuhaylan Haifi, founder of the dam's sire line, was an important foundation sire whose blood entered European breeding programs in the early twentieth century. Imported from the Arabian desert, Kuhaylan Haifi became best known as the sire of the legendary stallion Ofir, one of the most influential sires in the history of the Polish Arabian horse. Through Ofir and his descendants, Kuhaylan Haifi’s desert heritage spread widely throughout Polish breeding, contributing strength, athletic ability, and classic Arabian type. The presence of Kuhaylan Haifi as the sire line in Algorec's dam links the stallion to one of the most significant desert stallions whose lineage helped shape the modern Polish Arabian breed.

Eisenhower SFF

Horse Name

Sire & Dam Notes: WOA Oz is an unraced son of the phenominal Polish stallion Wojsław*, and out of Clearly Classic, a stakes-winning daughter of the outstanding race sire Pepton, placing him within one of the most successful modern Polish racing families. Oz therefore is a paternal brother to Druid, widely regarded as one of the finest racehorses ever produced in Poland and sold in 1999 to the Turkish Jockey Club for $500,000. Although Oz never raced due to an injury as a yearling, his pedigree carries the proven racing strength, durability, and athleticism that have long distinguished Polish Arabians. As a breeding stallion, he represents a valuable opportunity to preserve and extend this distinguished Polish racing heritage within breeding programs.

Dam Notes: Elegansa SFF represents a rare convergence of historic Polish Arabian bloodlines. Sired by Safari CAHR, one of the last living descendants of the ancient Bairactar sire line through Amurath Sahib and his son Gwarny, she carries forward one of the oldest surviving paternal lineages in the breed. Classified as a Tier 1 Heritage Polish Arabian, Elegansa SFF is believed to be one of only six mares worldwide representing this branch of the powerful Bairactar broodmare lineage. Her dam, Esabella SF, is an unraced daughter of the celebrated Polish race sire Pepton and out of a breathtaking daughter of Eukaliptus, making her a paternal sister to four Polish National Champion mares, a Polish National Champion stallion, and a U.S. National Champion stallion. Through this remarkable combination of rare sire-line heritage and proven Polish performance and show blood, Elegansa SFF stands as an important mare for the preservation of historic Polish Arabian genetics.
